Artist Statement

Photoshop is a tool, not a medium. My medium is the pixel. An element of a picture that alone is a swatch of light. Combined with others though it becomes a gateway into the mundane, and the impossible. Compositions layer to create luminous abstractions that combine mechanical means and organic growth. It is the assimilation of digital by analog, not the reverse. The interplay between nature and machine has been expressed for centuries, only now though, the machine has become the device through which we perceive this exchange. The pixel is representative of everything, it is nothing.
